… when our days and nights are burdened by constant worry and doubt.

If you frequently question how you will get through your next project, doubt whether you will find a rewarding relationship, or suspect that others will find you boring…

Anxiety might be keeping you unhappy and unproductive.

This exercise will help… and you can do it right now!

RIGHT NOW, you can do something good for yourself. You deserve it.

First, track all the thoughts that make you feel bad. Get a pad and pen and start to write them down. Don’t worry about the grammar or relevance. Whatever it is that’s plaguing you, just get it down on paper.

Now, look at your list and rank them in order from most distressing to the least.

Got it? Ok. Look over your list. No matter how long or short, let’s take the least distressing thought and focus on that one… ONLY THAT ONE! Take 30 seconds to let that single thought sit in your mind.

Then, (closing your eyes can help this part) track how it makes your body feel (from your feet to your head… and don’t forget your toes and your fingers). As you do this, breathe at a normal rate and only focus on your breathing – the way air feels coming in through your nose and out of your mouth.

Do this for about 1-2 minutes to start. Then, track where in your body you feel relaxed and calm.

When the minute ends, ask yourself, “Did that least distressing thought overwhelm my whole body?” The answer is likely “no.”

Guess what? You disrupted the cycle of negatively overthinking! You did it!
